Description of the House
The House is located in a small central streets, closed to vehicular traffic, of the historical center, the most interesting feature of Maratea from an urban environment point of view. A few steps from the main square, in a very cool and calm location is the ideal solution to perfectly combine the sea with the mountains in a relaxing holiday and at the same time elegant. The House, completely renovated, overlooking a garden with views of the valley of Maratea , is on two levels: the first floor consists of one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a glassed-in sun porch with a kitchenette (garden view) and a complete bathroom with shower and washing machine, a large living room with fireplace; the second floor attic is a bedroom (two or three adults or two adults + 2 children), bathroom with shower.
The house is very well furnished with elegance and taste, the furniture have made by local artisans dating after the Second World War and it's very nice. This accomodation is suitable for families or 2 couples of friends.
The Sorrounding of the Apartment
The House is very conveniently located in closed proximity to many stores bars and restaurants and a few minutes away by car to a full supermarket. It is also very close to the shopping area and the open theatres where summer productions and concert are held frequently through the summer. Not too far from the House are several parking areas, a few requiring parking fees. The closest beach (10 minutes by car or easily accessed by public transportation) is large, open and covered with the stones typical to this region of the Mediterranean. Part of the beach is open to public access and the other part is operated by private Lidos, where chairs and umbrellas can be rented.
Other similar beaches and facilities can be found all along the coast. Also 10 minutes away by car, from the House, is the tourist port with other entertainment and shopping opportunities as well as on the opposite direction, the Mount San Biagio with the famous statue of Christ.
To be do & to be visited
In addition to the coastline and its beaches, coves, grottos and historical watchtowers that extend for approx. 32 km up to the border of Campania it is also indispensable to visit: the tourist port, the historical centre, the sanctuary of San Biagio, the famous statue of the Redeemer, the wonderful grottos.
There are also various day trips and excursions available to the Pollino National Park, rafting in the Lao river, the monastery Certosa di Padula, the Pertosa grottos,the town of Rivello, the"sassi of Matera", the Paestum temples, the Palatine tablets of Metaponto, the plateau of the Sila, the seaside village of Palinuro.
In addition there are also aquatic sports, boat rentals and diving opportunities available. A vast program of cultural, theatrical and artistic events complete the tourist offering of Maratea.
How to reach the House - the distances
The House is located 25 minutes from the highway,10 minutes from the main train station (trains arrive from Milan, Turin, Florence, Rome and Naples) 2 hours away from the Naples and Lametia airports.

The House is confortable, well maintained and clean. It is furnished and equipped with kitchen utensils.
Prices starting from 450 euro /week
Electricity, Water and Gas, bed and bathroom linen are included in the renting price.
